GENERAL BUFFALO TOUR QUESTIONS

We currently offer daily tours leaving at 10AM, 1PM, and 4PM, although that is subject to change depending on demand throughout the summer. All tours depart from Buffalo Bike Tours (44 Prime St, at the intersection of Commercial and Marine). Please check the times on our Buffalo Tour Calendar page and your ticket. Tours will depart just shortly after the scheduled time and recommend you arrive 10 minutes early to be sure to catch the tour or you may sadly be out of luck.

There is ample on-street parking on the streets surrounding our location, some metered and some free (please see the map below and check signs to make sure of your specific location). Here are a few options:

  • KeyBank Center and Harborcenter parking ramps, with accessible parking
  • Parking in the Historic Cobblestone District

We anticipate many of our tours will be quite popular during our busy season and tours are limited to 12 attendees each. You can always try your luck and show up last minute, but we recommend getting your tickets now and make sure you get a spot while you can.

If you cancel more than 48 hours ahead of your tour we will give you a full refund otherwise all sales are final. During checkout, you have the option to add trip insurance, which provides you with extra assurance in the case of bad weather. If you don’t select it, that is your choice.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour departs so that we can make adjustments to your bike. Unfortunately, once our tours depart we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. We will, however, do our best to include you in another tour.
You will get wet. We run tours rain or shine unless it’s very inclement weather, such as lightning or high winds. In the case of extreme weather, we are happy to issue a refund.
Yes, we have a 4 person minimum needed to run a tour. In the case you sign up for a tour and we do not meet the minimum needed, you will be contacted and have the option to pay slightly more, reschedule, or your purchase with be refunded.

BUFFALO FOOD TOURS

Our Buffalo food tours include samplings at several businesses. Through the course of three hours, you will eat a full meal. We promise – you won’t leave hungry! Don’t worry – we’ll balance those calories with some cycling around town.

The Wing Ride is a tour of the hidden history of chicken wings and is unfortunately, for obvious reasons, not recommended for vegetarians. For vegetarians and vegans, we recommend The Foodie Ride instead. Either tour can accommodate gluten free with advance notice.

Non alcoholic drinks are included on our food tours. If you are interested in imbibing in alcohol during our Wing Ride, you are welcome to at your own expense. We cannot cover this expenses due to insurance and liability.
Ticket prices include all food and gratuity to partnering establishments. We still appreciate tipping your tour guide. While nothing is expected, 15% is customary in the industry. This is how our guides make our living, so your generosity is appreciated.

BUFFALO HISTORY TOURS

Our Buffalo history tours require basic riding ability and fitness. You can expect to ride about 10 miles in total – or about an hour at a leisurely pace. Buffalo is relatively flat and there are really no significant climbs. In other words, you can leave your full body spandex at home 🙂
Yes, we require you to wear a helmet and we will provide one for you. We know you’ll look like a dork, but so will we!
Our history tours take advantage of Buffalo’s expanding network of bicycle paths and dedicated lanes to guide you through our city with ease so that you can enjoy the views. In a few areas our guides will alert riders when a bike lane ends and where it begins again.

BUFFALO BIKE RENTALS

Our fleet of Buffalo bike rentals are road bikes made and tuned by GObike, our nonprofit bike advocacy organization. For more on our bikes, see our blog post “Why Choose Buffalo Bike Tours?”.

TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES & PRIVATE TOURS

For groups of more than five people, please check out our Buffalo Team Building Activities and private tours. We would be happy to make arrangements to accommodate your group.
