THE ORIGINAL CHICKEN WING TOUR OF BUFFALO, NY!
There's a lot more to buffalo wings than you might expect. The Wing Ride Buffalo food tour takes you on a tasting journey of some of Buffalo's best chicken wings. Along the way, you'll dive deep into the history of the city's famous dish and explore how Buffalo was shaped by race dynamics as your guide reveals its history, from its working-class origins to present-day resurgence.
The tour begins with a visit with Lina Brown Young, daughter of Buffalo’s original King Of Wings, who shares personal photos, stories, and her dad’s long-lost mumbo wing recipe, which had been unavailable for 23 years.
We’ll continue with a stop at the Anchor Bar, where we’ll learn the wild story of how their wings were born by accident and sample their classic Buffalo Wing. Skip the tourist line and crowds and get an inside look (and taste) at this beloved wing institution.
The chicken wing tour concludes with wings from Tiny Thai, an up-and-coming food truck, where we’ll sample a legendary recipe that connects the past, present, and future of chicken wings. Experience the tour that’s been featured by the Food Network, NY Times, and Vice Media.
Note: Menu and stops subject to change. This tour travels through Buffalo neighborhoods, some of which have seen disinvestment, but you would be remiss not to learn the true story of how an American food icon came to be.
